A Nigerian man abroad who decided to pull a Hakimi and save money with his mother got the shock of his life when he returned.

Sadly the man’s heart was broken when he came back to find that his mother kept nothing of what he was sending home.

Napaul, in a tweet, shared the unfortunate story of the man who hails from the Eastern part of Nigeria.

According to Napaul, the man worked very hard abroad and was sending his mother money to keep for him.

Who else better to trust than the one who gave birth to you? 

However, no money was left when he returned back to Nigeria. 

Hakimi is not almighty formula

Napaul’s post reads: “I know a guy at Owerri that hustled abroad and kept sending money to his mom to keep for him, lol blud came back & he had nothing.” 

“This life no get script.”

“What worked for Hakimi make not work for you, Just pray for wisdom in every circumstance you find yourself in.”

I have been duped of the money I was saving for my burial– Nigerian widow cries for justice

Meanwhile, Mrs. Racheal Bolaji Fadele, a widow who is also childless, publicly lamented about how she was duped of her savings.

Being eighty-five years old, and without a child, she started planning ahead for her burial as she didn’t want to be buried as a pauper.

The widow explained that in  October 2022, she received a call from an unfamiliar number and the caller claimed to be from a “first generation bank“.
