The relatives of late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, were captured on camera discussing how to collect his assets from his wife, Wunmi, at his gravesite.
In a video making the rounds on X, an elderly man, who is supposedly a family member, was captured saying the singer’s wife should not be trusted.
Another woman was captured in a separate video alluding that the singer’s wife had a hand in his death.
Don’t trust women
The video, taken while the deceased’s grave was being dug, showed some of his relatives plotting how to claim his properties from his 24-year-old widow.

During their discussion, one of the men asked for the whereabouts of Mohbad’s wife and said she must ‘drop everything’. In response, a man asserted that she should not come for the funeral because they would collect everything belonging to the singer in her possession.
An elderly man present at the scene added that there are children who earn millions of naira but fail to send money back home. He also warned the men gathered at the gravesite not to put their faith in women.
“The unfortunate incident has happened, and there’s nothing we can do about it,” the man said. “However, this should be a lesson for everyone present here. You have to stay focused and don’t trust the wife; may God comfort you all.”
Another man was heard bemoaning where the singer was being buried, stating that the singer who has mansions is getting laid to rest in a village.

In another video, another woman was captured accusing Omowunmi of poor burial arrangements.
“This is to show the world what the wife did; that’s the reason we brought him here,” she said.
Another voice was captured at the end of the video saying, “For someone who used gold jewelry (when he was alive), see where he is buried.”
