Controversial social media influencer, Daniel Regha, has given his opinion about the recent fuel subsidy in Nigeria.
In a Tweet, the writer shared that the fuel subsidy immediately took effect less than 12 hours after the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Tinubu assured that the crisis will be eradicated.

Less than 24 hours after Tinubu became the president of Nigeria, the price of fuel skyrocketed for unknown reasons.
We are too greedy- Daniel Regha
Speaking to our correspondent, a citizen of the country who is a motorist explained that some filling stations have started selling petrol for N700.
The sudden escalation of the price of fuel has left many talking including Daniel Regha, who blasted that the leaders were a problem in the country but Nigerians are also not helping each other.
A netizen said, it came as a surprise to him when just this morning he got the petrol for N300 and when he went back in few hours the price was jaw-dropping.
Daniel Regha added that most filling stations have started selling petrol at outrageous amounts and some are waiting for the scarcity so they can gain more profit.
“It’s been less than 12 hrs Tinubu announced the removal of fuel subsidy, but most filling stations have started increasing prices; Some have stopped selling, & are waiting for scarcity to start so they can make excess profit. We Nigerians are our own problem, we’re too greedy,” he said.

Fuel queue resurfaces after President Tinubu announced subsidy removal
In other news, shortly after Nigeria’s new President, Bola Tinubu, announced the removal of fuel subsidy, long queues reappeared at petrol stations in major cities, particularly in Lagos. Some stations even began closing their pumps.
Motorists flocked to Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) stations in Ikeja and Alausa, leading to overcrowding as people rushed to purchase fuel. Many parts of Lagos experienced large queues at NPC stations, which is uncommon, especially on a public holiday.
President Tinubu announced this during his inaugural speech at Eagle Square in Abuja on Monday. He stated that he was informed there was no provision for fuel subsidy and that it could no longer be justified.
