Manchester United coach, Eric Ten Hag has stated that his club needs a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo whose contract was terminated before the World Cup break.
Ten Hag indicated that a striker with Ronaldo’s quality will be needed immediately to fill the vacuum left by the poacher.
IkejaBird gathered that Manchester United terminated Ronaldo’s contract after he granted a controversial interview with Piers Morgan.
In the interview, Ronaldo spoke about the situation of Manchester United and how he had struggled since his return.
What Ten Hag Said About a Replacement
Eric said: “Two things. Impulse can come out of our own club, see [Alejandro] Garnacho, see [Anthony] Elanga, see [Facundo] Pellistri, who made a good impression at the World Cup and also in training. That is first,” he said in a press statement.
“Second, yes, we are aware we lost a striker, so I think we have to get a striker in, but it has to be the right one. The right one is a player that brings quality to the team, not just adding to the squad because that only gives you problems. And, you know the criteria is high here at Manchester United.”
The Replacement
Multiple media have reported that the Red Devils are keen on replacing Ronaldo with Atlectico Mardrid’s forward, Jaoa Felix.
The Manchester United coach has insisted that his club must look into the transfer market and buy a young player of Ronaldo’s quality to fit his big shoe.
