The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has denied rumours about raising the price of fuel.

This response from NNPC came after reports in the media suggested that the company might raise the price of petrol from the current N617 per litre to somewhere between N720 and N750 in the upcoming weeks.

This rumour caused an uproar on social media as Nigerians lamented how they would survive with any hike in the price of fuel.

No hike in Fuel price  

NNPC stated in their statement that they don’t plan to increase the cost of petrol. 

NNPC’s spokesperson, Muhammad Garbadeen, clarified that the company has no intention of raising petrol prices for the third time since they stopped subsidizing petrol on May 29, 2023.

Survey reveals 62% of Nigerians confident in Tinubu’s ability to move country forward

In another news, A recent survey has sparked controversy on social media after it concluded that 62% of Nigerians are convinced that the country will move forward under President Tinubu’s administration.

The survey was conducted by CMC Connect LLP, Lagos-based public perception consulting and strategic communication firm, in partnership with Analysts Data Services and Resources (ADSR).

It revealed that 62% of Nigerians, as opposed to 38% believe that the country will progress under Tinubu’s administration, despite the current economic hardship.
