Unrest at polytechnic over theft’ of six students’ private parts

An unsettling incident unfolded at Adamawa State Polytechnic, where students were thrown into a frenzy on Monday due to allegations of private parts being stolen from six male students.

According to witnesses, two unidentified individuals visited the polytechnic and had physical contact with the students, resulting in the reported shrinking of the affected students’ private parts to a size resembling a matchstick.

The unusual occurrence prompted other students to quickly gather, seeking to confront the strangers and potentially reverse the inexplicable phenomenon. However, the situation escalated, and it led to a confrontation between the students and the security agents who intervened to prevent vigilantism.

A source revealed, “The students became violent because the police and polytechnic authorities prevented them from lynching the suspected private part thieves.”

The students’ agitation spilled onto Galadima Aminu Way in Jimeta, a major road running past the polytechnic’s main campus.

Restoring order became a challenging task, necessitating the combined efforts of various security personnel, including the military, police, and civil defense. The chaotic scene eventually subsided as order was reestablished.

Albert Matilah, the polytechnic’s spokesperson, confirmed the incident, noting, “We woke up to this unfortunate situation: There have been rumors that criminals who specialize in snatching private parts of individuals were in town. And this morning, six of our students complained that their private parts had disappeared.”

He also mentioned that the individuals suspected of involvement had been apprehended and handed over to the police.
