Nigerian police superintendent and PRO Ben Hundeyin just reported that a Nigerian lady has been charged to court for assaulting a police officer.
Ben Hundeyin said the incident happened in Ogombo, an area in Lagos state. The said lady was said to have harassed a policeman unruly and therefore she has been prosecuted for engaging in such an act.
The Police’s PRO also stated that the Olufunmilayo has been taken to Kirikiri correctional facility (prison) pending the time the matter will come up in court.

An attachment of the court warrant revealed that the matter is to come up on the 6th of June, 2023 before the Magistrate Court.
Further evidence also showed where Olufunmilayo publicly held the policeman’s uniform.

“Somewhere in Ogombo yesterday, she assaulted a police officer. She was arraigned today and has been remanded to the Kirikiri correctional facility till June 6 when the case come up again in court.”
Nigerians are not happy
Many Nigerians appeared to not be happy as they claimed that the police would have done something worse before the said lady could harass him.
They further condemned @BenHundeyin for placing the victim’s nude photo on social media before the court’s final judgment.

Seun Kuti arrested and in handcuffs for assaulting a police officer
Meanwhile, Popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti has been put in handcuffs and arrested following his assault on a police officer.
In a video that was making rounds on the internet, the grammy award nominee was captured violently assaulting a police officer who was very calm and didn’t react at all to his assault.
Following the video, Suen Kuti took to his Instagram story to explain why he had reacted like that when many Nigerians stood up in defence of the Police officer.
