Adetutu “Tutu” Adedokun, jumped into Lagos lagoon on Thursday after a heated argument with her boyfriend.
The cab driver who gave her a ride told the rescue team that she had a serious argument before she alighted from the cab and jumped into the Lagos lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge.
The LRT, men of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Lagos State Waterways Authority, and the DSS, are still searching for her body.
The cause of the argument between Tutu and her boyfriend is still unknown at the time of filing this report. Here are some facts about her.
1. She is a DSS Staff. In a tweet by Jackson Ude, he wrote, “This beautiful lady named Tutu, a staff of the Department of State Services, DSS, jumped into the Lagos Lagoon after a heated argument with her boyfriend,” with Tutu’s picture attached.
2. She is in a relationship. Tutu has a boyfriend with whom she argued before jumping into the lagoon.
3. She has issues with her lover. The DSS staff and her boyfriend didn’t have the most peaceful relationship.
4. She was recently commended by the DSS DG. In the latter part of Ude’s tweet, he wrote, “Only four months ago, Tutu got commendation from the DG, DSS, as the best unarmed combat operative in her set,” after representing the service in a sporting activity.
5. She was just promoted at work. Tutu was promoted from the rank of combatant personnel to assistant superintendent.
6. Tutu is said to be in her 30s.
7. She recently got engaged.
The lady who jumped into the Lagos Lagoon this afternoon has been identified to be Tutu Adedokun.
