The Spanish club had made both direct contact to the premier league side as well as the player.
It has been revealed that both club and players are not keen on the move even though Barcelona are willing to meet the demands.
Barcelona are currently top on the league. They are having a good season that showed the quality of players in the team.
The presence of Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele had helped the team a lot, in terms of goals and creating chances in front.
Barcelona’s midfield is also fully stacked with good young players. With their contributions, the team had been able to control the momentum and build the foundation for attack.
Having a player like Ilkay Gubdogan on the team will add more creativity, finnesse and experience which the Xavi led team still need in abundance.
Man City is currently trailing behind Arsenal despite having scored more goals and played well. Ilkay Gundogan has been central to some of their win this year just like he did in the final league match last season.
