2. Ikeja Youth Center

Address: Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja G.R.A, Ikeja, Lagos

3. Johnson Jakande Tinubu (JJT) Park

The JJT Park is located in Alausa area and was opened to the public in December 2017. 

The name JJT comes from the last names of three former governors of Lagos – Johnson, Jakande, and Tinubu.

Right in the center of the park is a special sculpture that shows the faces of these former governors. This structure is very popular with visitors. Many people like to take beautiful pictures in front of this raised art piece.

At the entrance of the park, there is a huge statue of an Eyo masquerade figure which attracts attention. There is a bridge that leads to this massive statue. A water fountain used to surround the statue, but it was not working when someone visited the park recently.

The JJT Park with its interesting sculptures and features is a nice place to spend time outdoors in Lagos.

4. Ikeja Lawn Tennis Club  

Tennis lovers will feel right at home at this prestigious club. It has well-maintained courts and a friendly, competitive atmosphere for players of all levels. 

Whether you’re an expert or a beginner, the club offers programs, tournaments, and social events for an unforgettable tennis experience.

5. Ndubuisi Kanu Park

This park is located in the Alausa area, opposite the Lagos State House of Assembly building. It is also close to the popular JJT Park. 

The Ndubuisi Kanu Park was opened by Governor Babatunde Fashola in 2014. It was named after Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu, who was a former military governor of Lagos State.

The park has many trees that provide shade for people who want to have picnics on the grassy areas. If you visit on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, which are the busiest days, you will see individuals or groups of friends sitting on the concrete benches in different parts of the park.

Even though the park is relatively small in size, several groups can gather on the grass at the same time and enjoy their own space and privacy.

During a recent visit, there was a group of teenagers and young women sitting on the grass. From their matching, colorful outfits, it seemed like they were having a rainbow-themed picnic.

The Ndubuisi Kanu Park is a nice green space in Lagos where people can relax, have picnics and spend quality time outdoors.

6. Ikeja Paintball Arena

This is a thrilling place for adventure-lovers. The state-of-the-art paintball arena has simulated battlefields and obstacles. It offers an exciting paintball experience.

7. Dr. Oluyomi Abayomi Finnih Recreational Park

This park is located along the Opebi Link Road. It was named after Dr. Abayomi Oluyomi Finnih, who was a former consultant obstetrician and gynecologist with the Lagos State Ministry of Health, and an elder statesman.

The Abayomi Park, as it is commonly called, was officially opened by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on August 31, 2019.

When someone from The Record visited the park on a weekday, it was very quiet and empty. The park manager, Mrs. Okiki Esan, said that the park is usually busiest on weekends.

This recreational park provides a nice green space for people to relax and spend time outdoors in the Opebi area of Lagos. With its name honoring a respected medical professional, it serves as a pleasant outdoor facility for the community.
