Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in as the president of Nigeria while Kashim Shettima administered the oath as the vice president today, May 29, 2023, by the Chief Justice of the country, Olukayode Ariwoola.
Following their administration of the swearing-in, the two assumed office officially as President and Vice president of Nigeria.
According to Vanguard, at exactly 10:36 am, Bola Ahmed Tinubu took the oath and at 10:28 am, the Vice president did the needful and was invited to take his seat at the VIP stand, the ceremony was held at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

Following the swearing-in, the national and defence flag was lowered and folded, then was given to General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Defense Staff who handed it to Muhammadu Buhari to prove the end of his leadership.
After the flag was given to the Buhari, a new one was hoisted into the air to signal and celebrate the tenure of a new administration.

Foreign, local agents plan against Tinubu’s inauguration
In other news, Ali Ali, the coordinator of the Peace and Stability Initiative (PSI) revealed that the organization possesses information indicating that some groups of people are planning to stop the inauguration of Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, on May 29th.
In a statement released on May 19, as reported by The Cable, Ali revealed that certain foreign agents are collaborating with local organizations, appearing as civil society groups, to undermine the democratic processes in Nigeria.
Ali claimed that they had started formulating the plan following the declaration of Tinubu as the president-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on March 1.
