Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, receives backlash from Nigerians as he accepts President Tinubu ministerial position.

During his ministerial screening, he highlighted his achievements and expressed his passion for Nigeria as the driving force behind accepting the position.

 However, some netizens criticized him for joining President Tinubu’s administration, labelling him a “stomach infrastructure leader.”

Wike promised to deliver

The former governor is currently under attack as Netizens shade him for being selfish 

Despite the criticism, Wike assured President Bola Tinubu of his loyalty and stated that he would not regret nominating him as a minister. 

The Senate cleared him for the ministerial role, Wike was part of the first set of ministerial nominees forwarded to the Senate by Tinubu.

Full List: Meet Tinubu’s 28 Ministerial nominees

In another news, The Senate has unveiled President Bola Tinubu’s list with 28 ministerial nominees. 

The names were announced by the Senate President, GodsWill Akpabio, during Thursday’s plenary.

The list of ministerial nominees was hand-delivered by Femi Gbajabiamila, who is both the Chief of Staff and a former Speaker of the House of Representatives.
