Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flagbearer, has again hit at the current President Muhammadu Buhari-led government.
Speaking at Cross River during a campaign rally on Tuesday, January 31, the APC stalwart accused the current government of bringing more hardship and “torture” to Nigerians.
Tinubu stated that under the watch of the current government, the naira-to-dollar exchange rate was moved from N200 to N800.
Although the former governor of Lagos state did not mention names, he said Nigeria would not be where it is today if the current government had done the right thing.
“Today as they torture, they moved the exchange rate from N200 to N800. If they had repaired it, if they had arrested it, we won’t be where we are today.
“We will be greater. “They don’t know the way, they don’t know how to think. they don’t know how to do,” he said.
Ikeja Bird notes Tinubu’s outburst in Cross River was not the first time he would criticise the current government.
Recently in Ogun state, the former lawmaker claimed that the recent fuel scarcity and change in naira notes were targeted at his ambition. He, however, boasted that he would win the election holding in February.
