A young brilliant teenager has proven that challenges can be stepping stones instead of stumbling blocks as she graduates top of her class.

Jasmine Mazard-Larry who hopes to be a medical doctor in future has shown that we should not let our life experiences stop us from becoming who we want to be. 

According to reports, her family had earlier lost their house to fire four years ago which led them to being homeless.

When the house fire occurred, her mother was nine months pregnant with her baby brother at the time and her father became severely injured from the incident.

This made things very difficult for them, especially her who had to do extra to ensure they were looked after.

She however did not let the unfortunate incidents bring an end to her academic journey. 

She pushed through every obstacle

She got enrolled in High School in Tampa, Florida and managed to thrive in her new environment, even taking Advanced Placement and dual enrollment courses. 

Mazard-Larry also joined the Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education program and this helped boost her GPA.

Not only was Mazard-Larry homeless, she has ADHD and suffers from hearing loss, two things she initially viewed as limitations.

“She’s been my light. I just love her so much because she’s inspired me to be a better mother and a better person.” said her proud mother in an interview.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian lady who distinguished herself academically by graduating with honors, shared memories of her days in school.

The lady who goes by the username @themoneywife, took to twitter to celebrate her achievements with netizens.

Having graduated with a first-class degree from a Nigerian University, she proceeded to pursue a master’s degree.
