Lagos socialite Farida Sobowale, known for her business called House of Phreeda, was saved from a tragic suicide attempt on the Third Mainland Bridge. 

Reports shows that she was driven to do this because her husband was allegedly cheating with another woman.

Eyewitnesses on the scene said Sobowale was dressed entirely in mourning attire and parked her white Lexus car very close to the edge of the bridge.

She was saved 

But she was interrupted by some vigilant passersby who acted swiftly, preventing what could have led to her death. .

Videos capturing the moment quickly spread across social media platforms,as she is seen in black, sobbing as rescuers hold her tightly.

Iyabo Ojo tells her to stay strong 

One of her close friends, a Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, revealed that she had been in conversation with Sobowale shortly before the incident. 

Ojo expressed regret, stating that if she had known about Sobowale’s thoughts, she wouldn’t have ended the call. 

She emphasized the importance of staying strong and assured Sobowale that the difficult period would pass.

Nkechi Blesings urged her friends and family to stay by her side

Another actress, Nkechi Blessing, also showed support for Sobowale on Instagram. 

Blessing acknowledged the pressure that comes from being trolled and bullied on social media and urged Sobowale’s friends and family to stand by her during this challenging time.
