Tems sets new record, bags three Grammy Nominations

Nigerian singer and songwriter Temilade Openiyi better known as Tems, has been nominated in three categories for the upcoming 65th Grammy Awards.

Tems’ contributions to Future’s ‘Wait For U’ earned her nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Melodic Rap Performance.

Her third nomination came from her appearance in Beyonce’s Album of the Year-nominated ‘Renaissance.’

Tems is the first Nigerian female artist to bag three Grammy nominations in a year.

The 2023 Grammy Award nominations was announced on Tuesday and African stars Tems, Burna Boy, Rocky Dawuni, and Angélique Kidjo are all up for awards.

The 65th edition of the awards will take place in February 2023, in Los Angeles.
