On Friday, November 24th, Subair Enitan, a student from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Osun state, kicked off a 50-hour hand wash-a-thon with the aim of setting a Guinness World Record.
Enitan started the wash-a-thon at the Sub car park in OAU, Ile-Ife, Osun State, and has been washing for about seven hours.
She had officially informed the Guinness World Record of her intentions in June of this year. However, she was granted the opportunity to embark on her attempt on November 24th, 2023.

Enitan has garnered support from both the OAU Students’ Union leadership and the school management, facilitating her progress in the wash-a-thon.
The wash-a-thon is scheduled to conclude on November 26th.
About Subair Enitan
1. Enitan is currently enrolled as a 200-level student at OAU, where she is pursuing a degree in Linguistics and African Languages.
2. Subair Enitan is the first person to attempt to set a Guinness World Record for wash-a-thon.
3. She holds the prestigious title of “Omidan Asa of Ile Ife 2023.”
4. Enitan’s talent extends beyond academics as she has showcased her acting skills in the well-known Nollywood movie, Jagun Jagun, as well as the YouTube series, Okoto.
5. Additionally, she has achieved recognition as one of the top five finalists in the face of Osun Pageantry.
