How and when did you meet Suara for the first time?

Actually, I had first seen ”Daddy Suara” on stage. But, I then had the privilege of working with him when he played my father in “Oh Father, Oh Daughter”.

What was it like working with Suara for the Super Story series?

Let me lay this down first. Uncle Yemi was a veteran, highly professional, and deep with credible interpretations of his roles. So, working with him was a journey into a perfect blend of creative dynamics and credibility that made acting appear so real.

He was not difficult or full of pride. He was easygoing and quite jocular. He could sit with you on bare ground and crack jokes while munching ground nuts while waiting for “welfare”.

In your course of working with him on set, did you learn anything about his person?

Yes, of course. I learned that the best and only thing you must do with an acting role is to interpret and play that role to perfection.

What would your description of him be?

I didn’t work directly with him on any other film project, but I watched him doing his marvelous role playing in other movies.

His recent demise must have been painful to you; would you like to speak on it?

Haa! Hmm! Yes. Quite painful. He played my daddy once and he came across as a father indeed. Someone you can be very comfortable with.

Also, the film industry has lost another treasure and icon.
