Spain dominated England in Final

Spain dominated the game, especially on England’s left side, causing numerous turnovers.

Spain also earned a penalty due to a handball by Keira Walsh, but Mary Earps, the England goalkeeper, saved Jennifer Hermoso’s penalty kick.

Despite England’s efforts, they couldn’t find an equalizer and Spain held on to win.

England’s coach made changes, including bringing on forward Lauren James, but Spain’s defense remained strong.

England had opportunities, boosted by Earps’ penalty save, but couldn’t score and couldn’t keep up with the new World Cup champions.
