Nigerian human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore has lambasted the court for the ‘quick’ conviction of TikToker who cyberstalked Eniola Badmus, a Nollywood actress.
Taking to Twitter, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) shared his disappointment with the judges treating cases in Lagos.
According to him, they were more urgent issues that have been tabled in court for years, however, the judges haven’t come to a conclusion and given instructions.
Sowore at one point stated that it was disappointing to see judges leave important cases and easily jail a TikToker in just a few days.
“So judges treating cases in Lagos that haven’t been able to finish corruption cases of politically exposed persons since 2007 could easily jail a “tiktoker” in a few days? Jokers!!! An MC Oluomo that cyberstalked an entire ethnic group hasn’t even been arrested or investigated,” he said.
