Today, heavy rain caused flooding and traffic congestion on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, particularly around the trade fair and Abule-Ado areas, leaving hundreds of motorists and passengers stranded.
The downpour, which started at 5:00 a.m. and lasted for hours, led to the blockage of the trade fair section, disrupting the flow of vehicles on the expressway.
As a result, many passengers were forced to leave their commercial vehicles and walk from Abule-Ado to the barracks in Ojo.
Frustrated passengers and motorists are urging the Lagos State Government to clear the drainage systems to prevent such flooding in the future.
