On Monday, the Nigerian Police Force gave special recognition to three officers in Oyo State for helping a lady to fix her punctured tyre.
The incident which occurred in late September, involved Tunmise Adedire, Dauda Nuhu, and Isaac Omoniwa of the Oyo State Police Command’s Swift Respond Squad.
The officers were recognized by the Nigerian Police Force, as they were presented with commendation letters as a way to honor their conduct.

The force PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi wrote, “The policemen who assisted a woman to fix her punctured tyre in Oyo Command were honoured today. They were given commendation letters by the CP Oyo at Eleyele Ibadan. Their professional conduct was indeed commendable.”
Reactions:
However, the question rose in the minds of many as to whether the officers should be celebrated for performing their duty.
While some praised the officers, others argued that their actions ought to be a norm. Here are some reactions:

#JusticeForMohbad: Nigeria Police officers promise thorough investigation on Mohbad’s death
In other news, Nigeria Police Force has extended its deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and fans of the late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, famously known as Mohbad, following his recent tragic death.
The police force informed everyone that they are committed to investigating the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s passing.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police has promised to lead this investigation.
