A Nigerian man with ND, BSc, MSc, MPhil & PhD Degrees all in accounting celebrated the sacrifices his mother made to enable him achieve academic excellence.
Kolawole Babatayo, on LinkedIn, revealed that in 1997, his mother made a lot of sacrifices in order to raise him and pay for his WAEC fees.
In 2001, he started tertiary education at Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, where he graduated with distinction.
Then in 2004, he went to the University Of Benin (UNIBEN) where he graduated with a second-class upper two years later.
Mothers are really unsung heroes
Five years later, he went to the University of Lagos (UNILAG) where he obtained his Masters Degree in 2016.
Thereafter, he went to Babcock University where he obtained his Masters of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2020 and 2022 respectively.
He shared that none of these achievements would have been possible without Maami Aduke; his mother.
Recalling her sacrifices, he shared how she was forced to sell her clothes to pay for his WAEC fee in the year 1997.
Sadly, he lamented that his mother who is now deceased was not able to see how far he has made it in life having bagged five academic degrees.
