The trial of embattled Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, also known as Baba Ijesha, against child molestation, which began Monday, 27th of July at the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, has been adjourned today to 11 and 12 of August for examination of evidence and claims.
Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo adjourned the matter after the counsel for Damilola Adekoya also known as Princess, presented a minor to testify against the embattled actor.
Taiwo asked the public and other lawyers present in the court to step out for the identity of the minor to be protected and to reduce pressure of testifying.
According to report, prepartion of call to bar ceremony that would be holding in August 27th and 29th was part of the adjournment.
Princess, actress, Iyabo Ojo, and Gbenga Adeyinka attended the court session.
The actor arrived at the court for his trial after he was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in the care of comedienne, Princess.
He was charged with six counts of sexual assault, indecent treatment of a child, and sexual penetration.
The Lagos State High Court in Ikeja granted bail to Baba Ijesha on June 24 in the sum of N2 million.
