The Benue State Command of the Nigeria Police has confirmed that gunmen attacked a bus in Benue state.
The Benue Links bus transporting passengers to Otukpo via the Naka road in Gwer West LGA, at Tyolaha village was attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
Ikejabird learned that one passenger and several others sustained degrees of injuries during the assault by the gunmen.

Sources who also confirmed the incident to Daily Post said the recent attack is not the first time that marauding herdsmen have carried out such heinous acts against passengers along this dilapidated road.
Tyolaha village has become a hotbed for persistent attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen, the residents lamented. According to them, approximately 15 herdsmen easily overpowered their victims and prevented any resistance.
Many residents are said to have fled and farmers relocated from the said route as a result of the incessant attacks. The remaining individuals are now appealing to the government and security forces for protection.
