Candidate of the Labour Party, Presidential Election Petition Court, Peter Obi has recently filed 51 grounds of appeal before the Supreme Court to invalidate the election of President Bola Tinubu.

In his appeal, Obi maintained that the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, erred in law and reached a wrong conclusion when it dismissed the petition he lodged to challenge the outcome of the presidential poll that was held on February 25.

Shortly after Obi submitted his request, a well-known Nigerian writer and politician, who often criticises Peter Obi, used Twitter to make fun of him for seeking justice.

Nigerians reacts 

He said, “I want to congratulate Peter Obi for going to the Supreme Court, but I believe he will face the same result there.

Also, let’s not forget when his followers insulted the Chief Justice of Nigeria when he was in a wheelchair about to fly to London. It’s as if they won’t get old someday.”

Some Nigerians have come after him for always attacking the presidential candidate, while some wished the same fate for Peter Obi, but let’s await the outcome.

Peter Obi files 51 grounds of appeal at Supreme Court

In another news, The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has filed 51 grounds of appeal before the Supreme Court to invalidate the election of President Bola Tinubu.

Obi, in his appeal, maintained that the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, erred in law. Therefore, it reached a wrong conclusion when it dismissed the petition he lodged to challenge the outcome of the presidential poll that was held on February 25.

Among other things, he contended that the Justice Haruna Tsammani-led five-member panel of the Court of Appeal wrongly occasioned a grave miscarriage of justice against him when it held that he did not specify polling units where irregularities occurred during the election.
