Mike Premium, the manager of popular Nigerian comedian Sabinus, has shared his true thoughts on the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal’s verdict and his experiences with the controversial Obidient movement.

Mike Premium, known for his role as Sabinus’ manager, is also a vocal supporter of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar during the 2023 presidential elections. 

During an interview, he expressed his support for Atiku and outlined his reasons for backing the PDP candidate.

Obi lacks of strong backing from key figures

Mike emphasized the importance of political support in Nigeria and explained that Peter Obi’s lack of strong backing from key figures in the country made his victory unlikely.

Regarding the PEPT’s verdict, Mike maintained that political outcomes are not determined by emotions but by concrete evidence. 

He stressed the need for factual evidence in politics rather than relying on social media noise and emotional appeals.

I lost a deal worth $250,000 because of Obidients 

Mike disclosed that he lost a significant deal worth $250,000 (N188.5 million) simply because he did not support Peter Obi. 

The Obidient movement, he claimed, was willing to go to great lengths, including damaging his businesses and severing personal relationships, in their zealous support of Peter Obi. Mike’s story sheds light on the divisive and controversial nature of this movement.

Despite his political differences with the APC, Mike Premium revealed that he maintains a close friendship with Seyi Tinubu, the President’s eldest son, illustrating the complexities of Nigerian politics.

Seyi Law teases Obidients after PEPT upholds Tinubu’s win

Meanwhile, popular comedian Seyi Law, a diehard supporter of President Tinubu, couldn’t resist making fun of the opposition supporters on social media following the tribunal’s verdict. 

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal confirmed President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election while dismissing the petitions from Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, representing the Labour Party (LP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He playfully wondered if the opposition had already started shedding tears or were still holding out hope for a possible rerun.
