Revealed: The Worst Players from the Recently Concluded World Cup – L’Equipe

Following the list of the best players in the recently concluded world cup in Qatar, L’equipe has released a list of the worst players from various positions.

This list is chiefly down to the sentiments of sport critics in the magazine and does not generally reflect the views of the entire public.

It is also based on the output of the players and their performance in each game according to L’Equipe.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lautaro Martinez lead the front as the worst finishers in the tournament. Both players had not been impressive and had so many sitters.

In the semi final and final, Martinez had a clear goal to put his team in front but blew it in the wrong direction.

In the midfield, we have R. Vargas, J. Irvine, In-B Hwang, M. Leckie are selected from the pools of players who performed woefully at the centre.

Serginho Dest leads the back four, followed by K. Glik, A. Diallo, B. Bereszynski as the least performing defenders in the competition.

Senegal’s Mendy is singled out as the goalkeeper with the lowest contribution in the world cup. Despite his impressive performance, the Chelsea goalkeeper is unable to replicate the same at international level.
