The identity of a trigger-happy police officer who killed Lagos lawyer, Barrister Bolanle Raheem, has finally been revealed by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
Recall that the 41-year-old legal professional was shot in the chest region on Christmas day, Sunday, December 25, in her car while coming from a church service with her husband.
It was gathered that the heavily pregnant now late lawyer was a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, and she recently moved from litigation practice to property law.
The Lagos police command has since expressed its condolences to the family of the bereaved, describing the tragic incident as sad and unfortunate.

- His name is Drambi Vandi
- He is an Assistant Superintendent of Police. ASP is the 6th lowest rank in the force and is just above the inspector of police.
- Vandi, the killer cop, has spent 33 years in service with the police force.
- Until the incident, he was attached to the Ajiwe Police Station, Ajah, Lagos state.
- The officer and his team have been disarmed and subjected to room trial.
Meanwhile, the Lagos police command Public Relations Officer (PRO), Benjamin Hundeyin, has stated that the police would “carry out a reappraisal of its rules of engagement in a bid to put an end to such avoidable incidents” in the future.
