Napoli’s star striker, Victor Osimhen, has yet to commit to a contract extension with the club, and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis appears unfazed by the situation.
This indifference from De Laurentiis has left Osimhen not happy, especially considering his significant contributions to the team’s success.
Osimhen’s remarkable performances have been important in Napoli’s recent achievements, including their first Serie A title in 33 years and a historic quarterfinal finish in the UEFA Champions League. With just over 18 months remaining on his current contract, Napoli has been eager to secure Osimhen’s long-term commitment.

Osimhem contract extension
However, the situation remains uncertain, and the possibility of Osimhen not renewing his contract raises the prospect of Napoli having to consider selling him at the end of the season.
Surprisingly, De Laurentiis seems unconcerned by this scenario and remains confident in the club’s ability to negotiate a favourable deal even from a potentially weaker position.
In response to De Laurentiis’s comments, Osimhen and his agent, Roberto Calenda, are deeply dissatisfied, and they are now contemplating their future beyond Naples.
As negotiations continue to linger, Osimhen’s contract renewal remains in doubt, attracting the attention of potential suitors who may seek to make a move next summer.
