Arsenal and Manchester United have been reported to have joined the race for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen who is currently one of the top performing forwards this season.
The premier league clubs are interested in the Serie A player for his goal scoring abilities which is a huge vacuum for the two English sides at the moment.
Osimhen has scored 14 goals in 25 appearances this season and he is the top league goal scorer with 12 goals in 14 matches.
His blistering form has endeared him to top clubs in Europe. His release clause stands at £133 million. Any club interested in him should be willing to cough such a huge number to scoop him.
According to Il Mattino, three premier league clubs including Newcastle are leading the chart to sign the Nigerian striker.
Considering Arsenal’s league performance this season, it remains to be seen if many players will be able to reject them. Mykhailo Mudryk signed for Chelsea after he was heavily linked with Arsenal. Joao Felix also chose Chelsea over the Gunners.
Newcastle are doing incredibly well, standing strong on top four with 38 points in 19 matches. They are also a go-to club for any striker.
Manchester United are still looking for Ronaldo’s replacement and would hope to convince Napoli’s finest to make the move to Old Trafford.
