President of NFF backs Super Eagles to win 2023 AFCON 

The President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) believes Nigeria can win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau said the Super Eagles are ready to try their best in the tournament. 

The 2023 AFCON will happen in Ivory Coast starting on January 13, 2024. Ivory Coast is working hard to get their stadiums and cities ready. Gusau has been talking to the President of the Ivory Coast Football Federation. They are friends and have been discussing preparations.

Gusau said the Ivory Coast government has invested a lot in infrastructure to make AFCON a big success. He thinks the whole continent of Africa and the world will be watching the tournament.

Nigeria and Ivory Coast are in the same group at AFCON. They will play each other on January 18. Gusau said it will be an interesting match between the Super Eagles and the Elephants of Ivory Coast. 

When Ivory Coast hosted AFCON in 1984, Nigeria finished second. This time, Gusau wants the Super Eagles to work hard and try to win the title. 

Nigeria is in Group E with Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau. Gusau believes the Super Eagles can advance from their group and make a deep run.

The NFF President is confident in the Nigerian team. He will be supporting them fully to bring home the AFCON trophy. With preparation and hard work, Gusau thinks the Super Eagles can be champions.
