A Nigerian lady responded to a question asked about her prayer life and who she prayed to and has gone viral due to her answer.
This was mostly because of her shocking and candid reasons as to why she doesn’t pray anymore.
She came to the realization as a young catholic girl praying the prayer for Nigeria in distress, which was one of first prayers she memorized.

She was convinced when nothing changed in the country despite the continuous prayers offered.
Speaking further, she came to the conclusion that excessive church going wasn’t the way either.
This came after observing how society worked from a very young age.

She noticed that rich people didn’t go to church as often as the struggling and poor people did.
This got her asking if prayer and excessive church going were truly the key.
Upon careful observation, she discovered that the rich stayed behind in their offices and businesses making money.
In that case, answering their own prayers with actions while the poor were busy wasting their time in church meetings praying and hoping for a miracle.
She dared those who believed that prayer works to stop trying to help themselves in the various ways they have been doing, so that they can know how far they will go.
Aware of possible criticism and condemnation from netizens, she pointed out that there is no genie or Jesus out there who was coming to save anyone because we have been given all we need to save ourselves – a brain and hands.
Finally, She compared Africa to Western countries who had developed regardless of their prayerlessness.
She blamed the ‘Prayer is the key’ mentality for the various successful extortions done to unsuspecting church members by their pastors.
