The Lagos State Police command says it has not yet received the official autopsy report on singer Mohbad’s death.
Mohbad, whose full name is Ilerioluwa Oladitan, died on September 12, 2023. His body was dug up for an autopsy two months ago on Tuesday, November 21.
Police public relations officer Benjamin Hundeyin told Punch newspaper that so far the autopsy report has not been given to the police. He said even if the report is ready, it must be officially submitted to the police with a copy they can sign showing they received it.

Hundeyin said the police do not listen to rumors, only facts. He explained that only Mohbad’s family lawyer can ask for the autopsy report to be released by the pathologists. If not, the pathologists will independently give the report to the police when it is complete.
Mohbad was a popular singer signed to Naira Marley’s record label. He died in unclear circumstances which the Lagos State coroner is investigating. His father Joseph Aloba also warned nobody should try to bury Mohbad without his approval.
The police are still waiting for the official report to establish facts around the 27-year-old’s death over 2 months ago. Rumors continue around what happened. But the authorities want to rely on confirmed autopsy findings to determine more on this case that has left Mohbad’s fans mourning.
For now, the investigation and questions around his passing continue while the world waits to learn what can be proven about the talented musician’s early demise. The police emphasize they do not trust gossip, only released facts.
