The Nigerian police have reportedly used tear gas to disperse the crowd at Mohbad’s candlelight procession.

Earlier today, fans of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji aka Mohbad, gathered in large numbers for his candlelight procession.

They embarked on a walk from Lekki Phase 1 to Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island, Lagos to honor the late singer.

Unfortunately, the Nigerian Police used tear gas on the fans who gathered at Lekki tollgate, forcing them to disperse immediately. A viral video showed an injured person, but it’s uncertain if it was due to a gunshot.

Nigerians are in a state of frenzy as they recall memories from Endsars protest in October 2020, when the Nigerian army opened fire on peaceful demonstrators.
