A Nigerian man @woye has taken it upon himself to educate Nigerians about tax disputes with his tweet so the government does not not ride them

In his recent tweets, he informed Nigerians that if a taxpayer disagrees with a tax assessment, they have the right to submit a notice of objection to the Federal or state Inland Revenue Service within 30 days of receiving the assessment. This notice should urge the relevant tax authority to review the assessed amount.

Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of engaging a competent lawyer specifically experienced in handling tax issues. He highlighted that Twitter is not a court and advised Nigerians to be well-informed about their rights and options in order to prevent the government from cheating them

Nigerians shower praise on him 

Netizens were so happy with the information he gave them; many of them reacted to his tweet appreciating him for the insights. 

While some of them told him to enlighten Iyabo Ojo too so that the Lagos government does not cheat her

Iyabo ojo still partying amid tax crisis

In another news, Popular actress Iyabo Ojo recently shared some captivating pictures on her Instagram account, where she was spotted alongside renowned celebrities such as Tiwa Savage and Susan Peters at a glamorous event. She looked absolutely stunning in these photos, donning a beautiful golden gown. 

However, Iyabo Ojo has recently faced accusations from the Lagos government for tax evasion, with a reported outstanding amount of 18 million Naira. 

In response to this situation, the Lagos government issued a stern ultimatum, granting her seven days to settle her tax obligations or face potential imprisonment.
