Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie aka Ebubedike has been honored with his first doctorate award at the age of 76.
Pete, on Saturday was honored with a Doctorate in Literature, Doctorate in Arts, and a lifetime achievement award by ISTM University, Togo.
Representatives from the University’s management visited Pete Edochie at his home, and presented him with the awards as a recognition of his significant contributions to the creative industry.

“For all the works he has been doing, and he has been the pioneer in everything that all the younger ones are copying,” a representative said.
The legendary actor, has been bestowed with numerous national and international awards in the past.
He received the Lifetime Achievement Award at AMAA, a membership in the Order of the Niger (MON), AMVCA Industry Merit Award, and City People Entertainment Lifetime Achievement Award, amongst others.
