The former governor of Kaduna, El-Rufai, expressed how enjoyable and calm his first day was since leaving office. 

He mentioned not having to deal with morning wake-up calls or interruptions at his bedroom door, having a less busy schedule, not rushing around to meet deadlines, and not needing to read security reports or give orders.

He also gave advice to the younger generation, urging them not to avoid getting involved in politics and public service. He encouraged them to support President Asiwaju in making Nigeria a better country.

He receives backlash from Nigerians 

The former governor of Kaduna, El-Rufai, received criticism from some Nigerians who were upset that he could find peace of mind after allegedly incurring debt for the state to benefit himself financially. 

However, some individuals appreciated his positive actions during his time as governor and wished him well in the future.

Tinubu becomes President of Nigeria, Shettima Vice President, Buhari leaves

In another news, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in as the president of Nigeria while Kashim Shettima administered the oath as the vice president today, May 29, 2023, by the Chief Justice of the country, Olukayode Ariwoola.

Following their administration of the swearing-in, the two assumed office officially as President and Vice president of Nigeria.

According to Vanguard, at exactly 10:36 am, Bola Ahmed Tinubu took the oath and at 10:28 am, the Vice president did the needful and was invited to take his seat at the VIP stand, the ceremony was held at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
