Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State has accused Governor Hyacinth Alia of governing the state like a sole administrator and not following the law.
The party claims that the governor has failed to submit a list of Commissioners for screening and confirmation, as required by the constitution.
They also accuse him of locking up the government’s bank accounts, hindering the day-to-day operations of government agencies.

The claim was dismissed
In response, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Tersoo Kula, dismissed the PDP’s claims as attempts to discredit the governor.
He stated that the House of Assembly was called back for an emergency session to receive the list of Commissioners, and Governor Alia is focused on restoring the state’s lost glory.
