Tope Maggie, a chef hailing from Ogbomoso, Oyo, has plunged into a formidable 200-hour cooking marathon to etch his name into the annals of a new world record.
Maggie, in a Thursday evening Instagram post, officially declared his audacious cooking marathon attempt to reclaim the record Hilda Baci lost early this month. He accompanied the announcement with numerous pictures and videos, with Maggie earnestly seeking support for his ambitious endeavor.

According to the details shared on a flyer, Tope’s cooking marathon is unfolding at the Ogbomoso Recreation Club, Ogbomoso.
Tope, as captured in circulating videos, kicked off his audacious attempt on Thursday at 6 pm. Remarkably, at the time of this report, he has already surpassed an impressive 17 hours of continuous cooking.
The accompanying flier indicates that the chef has taken steps to seek the official approval of the Guinness World Records (GWR).
