Renowned Nigerian author Chimamanda Adichie has reportedly dragged Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Governor of Lagos state, to the President of the United States over allegations of heroin trafficking in Chicago.
Adichie dragged Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Biden and informed him about Tinubu’s alleged involvement in heroin trafficking charges in Chicago and how he forfeited $460,000.
She published an open letter to President Joe Biden in The Atlantic titled “Nigeria’s Hollow Democracy”. Adichie confronts the question of why Americans keep congratulating the winner of Nigeria’s disastrous election in February.

Chimamanda Speaks up
Adichie questioned Joe Biden why the United States, which prioritizes the rule of law, would endorse a president-elect who has emerged from an unlawful process. “American intelligence surely cannot be so inept”.
Using her Instagram account, she explained that she supported Peter Obi and was ready to accept the result even if he did not emerge as the winner.
She further explained that people, especially youths are not angry that their candidate did not win but the fact that the election they trusted was flawed.
Reactions: Well crafted piece
Netizens supported what she wrote and felt it was a good work, here are a few:
@blessing_hills: She was wise to reject the award otherwise she wouldn’t be bold to express her dissatisfaction by stating clearly that the election was “unacceptable and unforgivably flawed”.
@iam_Fidelio: The pen is mightier than the sword’. Igbo nwere mmadụ. Nigeria must be great and regain her pride of place in our lifetime. Reclaiming our robbed mandate is inevitable ✊🏾
@Sochyvee: Well crafted piece…she’s gifted
@uchegift: I pray it gets to him n does something about it.
