The fifth edition of the Asisat Oshoala Academy’s SHE Play Project empowerment program will take place on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Unilag International School in Akoka, Lagos State. This event is happening on International Girl Child Day and aims to empower young girls of different ages.
The SHE Project is a comprehensive initiative that offers sports, humanitarian, and educational programs. Asisat Oshoala, a star player for Barcelona Femeni, owns the academy, and it has made a positive impact on the lives of girls in Nigeria, focusing on sports and education.
More than 500 girls will participate in the event, which includes teaching them the basics of football, basketball, and volleyball, mentorship sessions, life skills and education, quizzes, debates, and more.

She Play Project
The She Play project was held in various schools and communities in 2022. This is the fifth edition of the SHE project and the first for season 2 of the AOA.
The Asisat Oshoala Academy has provided girls aged 12 to 18 with 90 minutes of football training thrice weekly. The program also includes education on important life skills and empowerment topics.
Graduates from the academy will be encouraged to use their leadership skills to make a positive impact on their communities.
