Notably, the introduction of the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year category recognizes the efforts of shot-stoppers, with ten players contending for the inaugural title.

The prestigious CAF Awards Gala, scheduled for December 11, 2023, in Marrakech, Morocco, will witness the crowning of winners across various categories.
Among the Player of the Year Super Falcons nominees, Asisat Oshoala, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Christy Ucheibe, Osinachi Ohale, Rasheedat Ajibade, Toni Payne, and Uchenna Kanu stand out.
Additionally, the list includes nominees for Goalkeeper of the Year (Women), Young Player of the Year (not more than 21 years), Coach of the Year (Women), and National Team of the Year (Women).
The winners of the CAF Women’s Champions League Cote d’Ivoire 2023 will compete for the title of Club of the Year.
Randy Waldrum is nominated for Coach of the Year (Women), and the Super Falcons are among the contenders for National Team of the Year (Women).
However, there are no Nigerian nominees for the Interclub Player of the Year (Women) and Club of the Year (Women) awards.
