Award-winning Arsenal star, Bukayo Saka visited his country, Nigeria after many years of being away in England.

The Nigerian-born Arsenal hero was spotted in Bariga, Lagos where he was having a stroll with his security men. 

Bukayo Saka is said to have visited Nigeria for charity work which is the first ever of its kind in his home country, Nigeria.

Welcome, the son of the soil 

The football guru announced his arrival on his Instagram using the Yoruba greeting term “E kuule o!” which literally means I’m back home.

Saka visited the Bales of Mercy Orphanage, where he had a good time with the children and the workers. He shared the video on his Instagram handle.

Bukayo Saka seems to be spending some weeks in Nigeria for his holiday tour before returning to England for the UEFA Nations League as well as pre-season for the 2023/24 season.

Meanwhile, Folarin Balogun, a talented young footballer, an indigene of Nigeria, has enjoyed a remarkable season with the renowned Ligue 1 team Reims. In a surprising turn , Balogun has made the decision to represent the United States, one of the co-hosts of the eagerly anticipated 2026 World Cup.

FIFA has officially approved a request by the U.S. Soccer Federation to change Balogun’s national eligibility from England. He was born in New York and is also eligible to play for Nigeria; the 21-year-old player has made a name for himself in France’s top tier while on loan from Arsenal, scoring an impressive 19 goals. 

Throughout the season, he even competed with Kylian Mbappe for the position of the league’s top scorer, with Mbappe currently leading the charts with 26 goals for Paris Saint-Germain
