In the lead-up to the highly anticipated Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) judgment, Nigerians have taken to social media to voice their opinions and expectations.

Here are some of the notable posts:

@Jayper: “Nigerians are not joking. Many viewing centers will be open for the citizens to watch the PEPT judgment tomorrow. This has never happened before in our nation’s history. Peter Obi effect!” #ASUU #OccupyNigeria #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary #WeWillRevoltAgainstInjustice #CongratulationsPresidentPeterObi

@Yusuf: “Throwing the whole FCT into darkness. Why??? Because you want to minimize access to proceedings from the PEPT judgment tomorrow!? What are you people hiding from the people!??? What kind of oppression is this!??”

@DavidWeizide: “Tinubu is indeed ready for chaos. Tomorrow is judgment day, and he flees out of the country to an event where he wasn’t even invited. The man is afraid of what the youth will do.”

@Valentine Ozigbo: “As we stand on the precipice of tomorrow’s PEPT judgment, we recognize its profound significance not only for Nigeria but also as a beacon of hope for every black person on the Globe. Such a momentous decision calls for divine intervention. Lord, we humbly approach Your throne of grace. May justice prevail, and may Your divine will shape tomorrow’s outcome. Let no man or woman attempt to usurp your omnipotence in the proceedings. Should any try, may You assert Your sovereignty, showcasing to us all Your unparalleled power and dominion. May the outcome glorify Your name and serve as a testament to the betterment of humanity across the world. Amen.”

@FirstObidient: “PEPT UPDATE: The Court will resume at 9 am tomorrow morning at the Court of Appeal, Abuja. Only 10 counsels from each of the 4 parties will be allowed to enter the courtroom. The proceeding will be broadcasted live on every interested TV or radio station.”

@ChudeNnamdi: “These are the people we voted for as President and Vice President respectively, the Tribunal judges must do the right thing by affirming their Victory, we won’t accept anything less than that.”

@beninhone: “If Peter Obi is declared as the winner of the presidential election on September 6, 2023! I will donate 10 million naira to any motherless baby home of your choice! Since no one wants to stake a bet with me… Open invitation to all! Another option… If Tinubu wins and OBIDIENTS shuts down the country, I will give 2,000 dollars to the less privileged! Please read what I said ‘Shut down the country.’ But if none of this happens, add Daddy to my name! So help me God!”

@IU_Wakili: “Few lies opposition told us during the campaign: – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is very sick – If Tinubu wins, MC Oluomo will be the minister of transportation. – Tinubu is not coherent. Add yours if you can remember any 😂”

@MatthewOnajite: “Tinubu will win. Obidiots will wail. Atiku will return to Dubai. Nigeria will survive.”

As the nation awaits the PEPT judgment, the outcome remains uncertain, and the hopes and expectations of the people are divided.

Tomorrow will indeed be a decisive day for Peter Obi and the nation as a whole.
