The aftermath of the 2023 election which was held a few months back has landed many in the hospital and worse some dead.
Some of the casualties from the election are still recovering in several Akwa Ibom hospitals, and the Director- General of the National Youth Sevice Corps deemed it fit amidst his busy schedule to visit one of the victims, a corp member who has been recuperating in the hospital.
Onuoha Elvis Udodiri, with the registration number; AK/22B/2148, has been admitted to the Ibom Specialty Hospital in Uyo, and the DG, Brigadier General Y. D. Ahmed paid him a visit to check up on him.

Elvis was one of the ad-hoc officials in the House of Assembly re-run election in the State and was shot in his leg when gunmen stormed the village town hall at Ikot Eduek Itak, in the Ikono local government area of the state.
The DG thanked God for his life and praised the hospital for their prompt and immediate medical assistance offered to the corps member.
The Chief Medical Doctor (CMD) of the hospital expressed his awe at the DG’s fatherly love and promised that the hospital team members will do all they can for the health of the corps member so he can return to his primary place of assignment in strong and good health.
The corp member thanked the DG for his visit and also stated that he believed was going to get better soon especially now that he was paid a visit by the NYSC director general.

Reactions as Female police officers seen “keeping fit” for election
In other news, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is leaving no stones unturned in the forthcoming presidential and National Assembly (NASS) election.
This is as female police officers were seen keeping themselves fit ahead of the highly anticipated polls holding on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
In a video shared on Twitter by the police Public Relations Officer, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejob, the female officers could be seen dancing and marching.
