Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has issued a challenge to the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), daring them to take action against him, including suspension or disciplinary measures.
Wike’s remarks came during an exclusive interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today program.
He confidently asserted that he has yet to meet a party leader with the authority to suspend or expel him from the PDP.

Nobody will do it
Addressing the issue, Wike stated, “The person that would suspend me is the one that couldn’t produce a governor, is the one that couldn’t produce three senators? I have not seen that person, with all due respect. Nobody will do it. So, the issue of they will do it does not arise.”
Furthermore, Wike clarified his allegiance, noting that his current work is not for the All Progressives Congress (APC) but for President Bola Tinubu.
He emphasized,
“I am not working for APC. I am working for Tinubu who has trust in me to help him deliver the renewed hope agenda.”
As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how the PDP’s leadership will respond to Wike’s daring challenge and his unapologetic support for President Tinubu’s agenda.
Atiku claims wike, ortom and others seeking protection against trial
In another news, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Vice President, made a statement regarding the G-5 governors, a group of former PDP governors.
He claimed that these governors were aligning themselves with President Tinubu and the new administration due to their aspirations for appointments, protection, and relevance
Atiku emphasized that their decision to not support him was not out of goodwill of the people but their selfishness and he cautioned Nigerians not to be deceived by their actions.
