The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), the FCT Youth Network, and the Arewa Youth Assembly have extended their congratulations to Nyesom Wike on his recent appointment as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The accolades come in response to President Bola Tinubu’s unveiling of his new team of ministers on Wednesday night.
ACCI’s Director General, Victoria Akai, expressed confidence in Wike’s ability to drive economic growth and development in the FCT, citing his impressive track record as the former Governor of Rivers State.

They want to work together
Akai highlighted the Chamber’s anticipation for collaborative efforts with Wike to foster a more favorable business environment, attract investments, and facilitate trade and commerce in the FCT.
The Chamber’s message also urged the new minister to prioritize infrastructure development, ease of doing business, security, and policy coherence, with a willingness to engage with private sector feedback.
Similarly, the FCT Youth Network’s Youth Leader, Umar Mankeri, praised the appointment of Wike, drawing attention to his proven leadership experience and governance skills.

Mankeri expressed confidence in Wike’s potential to address key challenges facing the FCT, particularly population growth and youth unemployment.
The Youth Network hoped that Wike’s tenure would yield significant progress in tackling these pressing issues.
The Arewa Youth Assembly also lauded President Tinubu for his discerning selection of Wike as FCT Minister.

The assembly recognized Wike’s successful governance record during his time as the Governor of Rivers State, emphasizing his potential to bring about positive transformations in the FCT.
They urged Wike to prioritize addressing the long-standing Abuja-Nyanya traffic gridlock, a major concern for commuters.
The swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed ministers, including Wike, is scheduled for August 21, 2023.
With these endorsements and high hopes, the public anticipates the positive impact that Nyesom Wike’s leadership could bring to the Federal Capital Territory.

In another news, former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, recently shared his thoughts on President Bola Tinubu’s potential cabinet picks.
He also stated the significant role played by the G5 also known as the Integrity Group within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in securing Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.
As President Tinubu takes office, there are expectations for him to announce his cabinet within 60 days.
