The man, overwhelmed by the high cost of education for his five-year-old child, angrily asked his retired teacher mother to pack her bags and prepare to stay with him.

He intends for her to help teach his daughter while she is at home. The financial burden was becoming too much for him to bear.

His tweet:

My daughter’s daycare tuition is going to be $1950 per month.I’ve just instructed my mum, her grandmother, to pack her bags and get ready to travel. She was a teacher before retiring. She is about to come out of retirement. My daughter should get ready to be home-schooled till she is 5.I didn’t kill my parents. My daughter is not going to kill me.

Reactions: That’s too expensive

Many other parents complained about the fee; let’s have a look at some of them

@NNlewoha : You people that still have mums are enjoying. We currently pay $42 a day for my son’s daycare, no other option. Na pay and cry 😭 we dey do biweekly when the deduction happens.

@dogzigee:My boys are 7 and 11 and the cost of hiring an after school nanny was $2000 a month. We simply asked my mother in law, a retired English PhD, to help with the kids. She teaches them and has been a blessing to us. Best decision we ever made for our kids as working parents in USA

@therealdaddymo1:It’s an absolute privilege to have our parents in the role of grandparents who can teach our children as they are growing up in their formative years. Because when you check it, that daycare na serious play go dey happen there which can be done at home too.

@RapidMax01;That’s expensive. The school close to my house is $323/wk and we haven’t been able to secure a space for Jason.
