No Bra Day

Every year on October 13, No Bra Day is observed, during this time, women are encouraged to forgo their bras in order to spread awareness about the value of breast cancer screening, the need to recognise the symptoms, and the necessity of routine self-examinations in the fight against breast cancer.
No Bra Day was first observed on July 9, 2011, however it was shifted to October’s 13th day of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month after only three years.
To raise awareness of breast cancer, social media users are urged to post using the hashtag
#nobraday
